Materiality
In 2024, we reviewed our material matters by aligning them with industry peers and global sustainability reporting frameworks. Through a process of consolidation and regrouping, we streamlined our material matters from 17 to 13 key issues. As part of this refinement, Indirect Economic Impact was removed from the materiality matrix. Despite these changes, the priority of our top five Materiality Matrix remained unchanged.
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs)
Our Group Sustainability Framework, “Build Right. For Life,” is strategically aligned with the UN SDGs, specifically focusing on Goals 9, 11, and 13.
Climate Action
Our Pledge to Climate Efforts
We recognise climate change as a major sustainability challenge and are dedicated to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. To reinforce this commitment, we support the TCFD framework and have submitted our GHG emissions targets to the SBTi, ensuring alignment with global climate objectives.

Gamuda understands the significance of the communities around us and the potential impacts of our operations on their lives. Our achievements are closely linked to their support, and we believe it is important to actively engage with and contribute to these communities. We are dedicated to making meaningful contributions that support their needs and development.

Global Health Issue
In addition to addressing the global health challenges posed by COVID-19, we are actively involved in initiatives such as offering discounted health screenings for our employees, including sexually transmitted diseases (STD) detection like HIV/AIDS. While we currently do not have specific programmes for other diseases such as tuberculosis (TB) and malaria, we are vigilant in monitoring these most common diseases across our operations to prevent their spread.
Sustainable Design
Driving Innovation with Next-Gen Digital Industrialised Building System (IBS)

Biodiversity
At Gamuda, we integrate biodiversity considerations into every stage of our projects to minimise environmental impact and enhance ecosystems. Guided by the Gamuda Green Plan 2025, our ESG strategy prioritises biodiversity conservation through collaboration with stakeholders, including Indigenous communities and NGOs, and alignment with frameworks like TNFD and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
By addressing nature-related risks, we aim to strengthen socio-ecological resilience while reducing our ecological footprint. Through evidence-based decisions, technology, and compliance with biodiversity regulations, we uphold our commitment to protecting nature, supporting communities, and advancing meaningful conservation efforts.
