Unlocking Neurodivergent Talent

The Enabling Academy is dedicated to empowering neurodivergent individuals to realise their full potential. We are committed to creating pathways of opportunity leading to meaningful career success. Our mission emphasizes building inclusive workplaces that celebrate diverse talents and foster innovation through diversity.

Project Aims

Offer an Employment Transition Programme that provides pre-employment training and job placement support for neurodivergent adults to achieve sustainable employment
Collaborate with partner companies to create sustainable employment opportunities

Employment Transition Programme

In 2013, Gamuda launched its Project Differently-Abled (Project DA) to sustainably employ adults on the autism spectrum. This success inspired us to establish the Enabling Academy (EA) in 2017, aimed at raising awareness and enlarging the network of partner corporates to provide sustainable employment opportunities to individuals with autism. The EA conducts an Employment Transition Programme (ETP) that trains and places individuals with autism into companies embracing diversity and inclusion in their workforce.

Since July 2024, we have expanded our mission to support neurodivergent individuals beyond autism. EA now provides tailored support, and fosters inclusive opportunities across a broader spectrum of neurodivergent talent.

Testimonials

What Do Employers Say?

Our collaboration with Enabling Academy (EA) began in 2023 with our first intern hire, who became a valued permanent team member and has since grown to include consistent recruitment of EA graduates for internships and permanent placements. EA provided coaching and guidance to our managers and teams, enhancing our ability to support neurodivergent individuals. We have volunteered with EA’s Employment Transition Programme, leading sessions such as Excel workshops, mock interviews and budgeting, while helping two cohorts in 2024 transition to the workplace. These sessions not only enriched the trainees but also inspired our volunteers, challenging misconceptions about neurodiversity. EA has strengthened our Human Capital practices with training workshops and awareness sessions, fostering a more inclusive workplace.
