Gamuda Cove keeps nature intact
SUBANG JAYA: Nature hikes within a stone’s throw from your home – that’s what Gamuda Land has planned for its latest development which will have the Kuala Langat Forest Reserve and Paya Indah Wetlands as its neighbours.
Touted as a “City Centre In Nature’s Sanctuary”, the 620ha leasehold, full township of Gamuda Cove is targeted for completion in 2038.
However, the 20.23ha Discovery Park, which will offer sports facilities and food and beverage outlets, will be fully opened by 2020.
Yesterday, the Gamuda Cove Experience Gallery was launched at Taipan Business Centre here.
Gamuda Land chief executive officer Ngan Chee Meng said one reason why the development company had earned such confidence among investors was the planning it put into its projects.
“We don’t just look at the design of our homes.
“For example, with Gamuda Cove, where we have just started with earthworks, biodiversity studies were conducted to study the ground water level and the species of flora, fauna and wildlife in the area to preserve the ecosystem,” said Ngan.
He said while the old school of thought was to cut and flatten everything the moment construction work started, the planners at Gamuda saw things differently.
“If a 15-year-old tree is chopped down, it will mean having to spend another 15 years to nurture a new tree at a higher cost.
“So, why not preserve the existing tree so buyers may enjoy having it in front of their homes?” said Ngan.
He said all units in the Gamuda Cove project were constructed using their industrial building system (IBS).
Similar to the prefabricated concept, half a billion ringgit was invested in two factories to manufacture housing components.
In contrast to the traditional methods of yesteryears, where processes like plastering were done by hand, the manufacture of IBS components are largely automated, ensuring a uniform quality.
“This type of precision addresses issues like wall cracks upon completion,” said Ngan.
In his speech at the launch, Gamuda Bhd deputy group managing director Mohammed Rashdan Mohd Yusof said investors might look back at their track record for Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam, and Jade Hills, Kajang, where the property value had appreciated by 132% and 72%.
Located near Tanjung 12, Kuala Langat, Gamuda Cove can be accessed via a direct interchange from the North South Expressway Central Link (Elite) Highway built by the developer, estimated for completion next year.
A 7% rebate will be given to early birds who sign up by today. Additional benefits will also be given for referral rewards.
Upon signing the Sale and Purchase Agreement and settling the down payment for a Gamuda Land property, buyers will become members of the GL Friends circle.
Benefits include discounts of 1.5% to 3% for repeat purchases.
