Gamuda welcomes National Housing Policy 2018-2025

Congratulations to the Ministry of Housing and Local Government on the launch of the National Housing Policy (DRN) 2018-2025 yesterday.

We applaud the government’s effort in enabling strategies that create a highly inclusive, sustainable and desirable housing market for all Malaysians.

The DRN’s emphasis on providing high quality homes which are affordable, easily accessible and close to public transport is sure to improve the overall well-being of Malaysians.

In this regard, Gamuda stands ready to fully support both the government and developers by providing state-of-the-art digital IBS (Industrialised Building System) technology to build and deliver new homes for Malaysia.

With our two digital IBS plants, we can deliver 10,000 fully functional homes a year and with our BIM technology, costs and wastages in delivery are minimised.

It is so efficient that a high-rise apartment block can be built in half the time compared to normal construction methods, saving at least one year.

This will go a long way in helping the entire developer community to assist the government in achieving its vision of building one million affordable housing units over ten years.
