Gamuda Cove’s Discovery Park to welcome tourists in mid-2019
Gamuda Land envisions the 50-acre Discovery Park in its 1,530-acre Gamuda Cove becoming the next tourism and entertainment hub in the Southern Klang Valley after it starts operations in mid-2019.
Gamuda Land CEO Ngan Chee Meng said Gamuda Cove’s is strategically located in the Southern Klang Valley, with its proximity to Kuala Lumpur International Airport attracting foreign and local tourists.
“Part of the Discovery Park will starts operation in mid-2019 and the park development is expected for full completion in 2020,” he told the media after the strategic partnership MoU signing ceremony today.
The company has also unveiled six key strategy partners, including Aerophile, AKA Balloon, Blastacars, Invade, Kitchen Mafia and Caravan Serai, which will be participating in Discovery Park’s development with exciting offerings.
Ngan noted that the Discovery Park is part of Gamuda Cove’s 372-acre commercial space dedicated to a plethora of exciting experiences including shopping and dining, leisure and recreational activities.
The Discovery Park set to offer opportunities to discover thrills, fun, spectacular sights and nature through three recreational zones, namely The Adventure Park, Hangout Village and Sports Park.
“The Adventure Park is the vantage point for thrill seekers to enjoy lush greenery of the adjacent Paya Indah Wetlands and Kuala Langat forest reserves through various adventure offerings, such as Malaysia’s first tethered hot air balloon operated by AKA Balloon, indoor go karting in Blastacars Drift Karts, mountain bike or all-terrain vehicle (ATV) riding, outdoor glamping with Caravan Serai and climb through adventure rope course,” he added.
The Hangout Village is a social hub that offers a variety of F&B such as Kitchen Mafia and a unique dining experience by France-based Aerophile Group which will be opening the first Aerobar in Southeast Asia where in each ride 15 passengers can enjoy their drinks in a 35m high flying bar in the sky.
Meanwhile, the Sports Bar will house the international standard sports facilities and wellness centre which include badminton, football academy and gold driving range.
He noted that there will also be experiential cycling and walking trails namely the Forest Trail, Wetland Trail and Family Trail to enjoy picturesque views of nature.
“They (the six partners) are just the beginning, there will be more exciting offerings in Gamuda Cove in near future,” said Ngan.
