Developer launches loyalty programme at fancy dinner
Cognac, fresh roses and a four- course dinner curated by a Swiss chef, set the tone for a memorable evening at the launch of Gamuda Land’s loyalty programme at the Grand Hyatt, Kuala Lumpur.
The township development’s chief executive officer Ngan Chee Meng said in the old days, developers seldom engaged with housebuyers after the papers were signed.
Today, however, developers have realised the importance of good relationship with buyers.
“From down payment to the time they get the keys to the house, we are with our customer throughout the journey in property ownership,” said Ngan.
He said building such a relationship enabled a developer to gather feedback and fine-tune aspects such as workmanship and landscaping, in addition to keeping them in the loop of the company’s future developments.
In his welcome speech, Gamuda Bhd deputy group managing director Mohammad Rashdan Mohd Yusuf pledged that quality would be given priority in all its property developments.
“We have invested half a billion ringgit in two factories focusing on an industrialised building system which can build components for houses, right down to bathrooms,” he said.
At the event, Mohammad Rashdan added that a partnership with iPay88 now enables secure online payments for progressive billing and maintenance fees to be made at the Gamuda Land website.
In line with the digital age, the company has also developed a mobile app where residents can submit complaints and interact with other Gamuda Land property owners. There is even a panic button feature built in.
Fancy dinners and exclusive product launches are not the only privileges accorded to the loyalty programme members who become part of the GL Friends circle upon signing the sale and purchase agreement and settling the down payment for a Gamuda Land property.
Benefits include discounts of 1.5% to 3% for repeat purchases. If you recommend friends, every successful purchase entitles members to a 1% commission. Buyers who invest above RM1.5mil in a property are entitled to a dedicated relationship manager.
However, a special Merdeka treat awaits those who make repeat purchases or referrals this month.
Bonus benefits can run up to 5% in discounts and 1.5% in referral rewards.
Datuk Sheila Majid serenaded guests as the first course was served and comedian Douglas Lim made his entrance at dessert.
At the end of the night, some 400 guests were given a bottle of Moët & Chandon each as a parting door gift.
