Xizhi Donghu Mass Rapid Transit, Taiwan
The New Taipei City Government awarded the Xizhi Donghu MRT project to a 75:15:10 unincorporated joint venture between Gamuda, MiTAC Information Technology Corp and Dong Pi Co Limited. The RM4.3 billion main design and build contract, along with an already determined additional works contract worth RM10.8 billion, is estimated to be completed within seven years.
With a significant 75 percent share within the JV, Gamuda’s share of the contract value is RM3.2 billion, while its 75 percent share of the additional works contract is worth approximately RM8.1 billion.

Letter of Award, Ulu Padas Hydroelectric Project
Gamuda Berhad has accepted a letter of award from Upper Padas Power Sdn Bhd (UPPSB) to serve as the total development contractor (TDC) for the 187.5MW Ulu Padas Hydroelectric Project in Tenom and Sipitang, Sabah, in partnership with Conlay Construction Sdn Bhd (Conlay).
The contract sum of the TDC is RM3.048 billion with scheduled commercial operation date to be on or before 31 December 2030.

123 students awarded Gamuda Scholarship, Malaysia
Yayasan Gamuda awarded the Gamuda Scholarship to 123 students this year, increasing by more than 60 percent from 76 students in 2023. Its scholarship investment also increased by more than 50 percent to RM29 million from RM19 million in 2023.
Since its inception, the Gamuda Scholarship has empowered more than 763 students with equal opportunities in education, especially from the B40 (lower income group) and Indigenous communities.

Gamuda has achieved a double milestone with the breakthrough of Australia’s first autonomous tunnel boring machines (TBMs) on the Sydney Metro West – Western Tunnelling Package, being delivered by the Gamuda Australia and Laing O’Rourke Consortium (GLC).

The contract will be delivered by AD Alliance comprising the Public Transport Authority of Western Australia, Alstom and DT Infrastructure - with a joint venture between Alstom and DT Infrastructure at a ratio of 54:46.
It will involve the design, supply, construction, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of Alstom’s Urbalis Communications-based Train Control, installed by DT Infrastructure’s expert local workforce for Perth’s suburban rail network. The world’s largest signalling project by route length, the project will provide Perth with a 40 percent increase in network capacity once completed.
