The Management Development Centre (MDC) at Gamuda focuses on three main areas; develop young graduates, groom high potential talents and build successors. These are made possible through these initiatives below:

Specialised Talent Programs
Awarding prestigious scholarships to outstanding Malaysian students for tertiary-level education locally and abroad. In addition for financial assistance, the programme provides training and development workshops, mentoring and networking events to further develop soft skills.
Targeted at fresh graduates absorbed into various corporate and project functions the Group, the Gamuda Graduate Programme is a structured three-year programme that provides on-the-job training with a strong focus on the development of the technical competencies as well as leadership skills.
Grooming High Potential Employees (HPE)
The HPE Programme provides a fast-track channel for high promising talents to gain the relevant work experience, skills and competencies in line with the growth direction on the Group. Selected individuals are groomed to assume future key leadership roles as part of the Group’s succession plan.
This programme seeks specifically to improve the employability and marketability of Malaysian graduates, by re-skilling and up-skilling them in areas that are both crucial and relevant to the industry.
Gamuda accepts interns from local and foreign universities, and provides them with valuable exposure to a dynamic work environment in preparation for their entry into the working world upon graduation.

A strategic manpower development unit for skill based training through these channels:
Tunnel Training Academy (TTA)
To develop a pool of specialists, technicians and
skilled labour to support the roll out the
KVMRT and similar tunneling projects around
Gamuda Plant Operating School (GPOS)
The largest and only one-stop training centre for
plant operations in Malaysia. A non-profit training
centre dedicated to upgrading the competencies
and skills for heavy plant machineries.
KVMRT Training Centre
A collaboration with MRT Corporation, CIDB Holdings (CIDBH), Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) and National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) to develop skills needed to deliver the KVMRT project efficiently, with a strong focus on workers’ safety and health standards.
Construction Training Centre
A non-profit organisation to facilitate the training
of skilled labour, equip sub-contractors and
industry players with internationally benchmarked
construction skills adopted from best practices
in Australia, Europe and Singapore.
